We are always looking for ways to improve our Afghan solar products. Currently, we are developing innovative ways of using our current solar products and more.
Electricity Production – It is possible to produce electricity from your Starlight solar stove using a Peltier Thermoelectric Device, a Stirling engine or steam powered Tesla turbine. We are investigating whether these methods could be a practical solution to rural low power electricity needs.
Improved mounts for tracking the sun – We are seeking to continue to improve on existing Afghan Starlight Solar Stove designs. Currently, we are investigating new equatorial mounting systems to simplify stove operation.
Cooking naan – A cooking attachment to help prepare naan using Starlight solar stoves is currently being developed.
Fruit and vegetable dehydrators – When you dehydrate fruit or vegetables, none of the nutritional value is lost. We are producing a hygienic way to dry fruit and vegetables using an enclosed solar dehydrator.
